Uttarbanga Medha Ratna Utsav

At the Techno India Group Uttarbanga Madhya Ratna Utsav 2019 celebrated at the Siliguri Institute of Technology campus on 25th January, about a hundred meritorious board examination rank holders from across eight districts of north Bengal were felicitated the group. Seven years ago in 2013, this award ceremony has become a massive hit in north Bengal. Along with them, school students from the financially backward section of the society are awarded scholarships. Medha Ratna Utsav is the brainchild of Satyam Roychowdhury, the founding Managing Director of Techno India Group, who said, “I want to celebrate Medha Ratna Utsav across West Bengal in the days ahead.” Goutam Deb, Honourable Minister-in-charge, Tourism, ace table tennis player Arjuna awardee Mantu Ghosh, Moloy Ghatak, Minister in charge, Labour, Dr. Subires Bhattacharyya, Vice-Chancellor of University of North Bengal, Dr. Debkumar Mukherjee, Vice-Chancellor of Coochbehar Panchanan Verma University, Dr. Arindam Ray, Director of Techno India Group and Advisor of Techno India Group Bhaskar Roy graced the occasion. Alongwith the Director of Siliguri Institute of Technology Dr. Jyotirmoy Jhampati and staff members of Siliguri Institute of Technology and Techno India Group Public School Siliguri, the principals, faculty members and students of all Techno India Group Public Schools across north Bengal, and other dignitaries were present. In an inspiring speech, Roychowdhury spoke about how a journey that began with six students and a small computer centre evolved to become a giant educational conglomerate.
