Jagadhhatri Puja, also known as Dhatri Puja, is an important Hindu festival that traces its roots to Chandannagar. On November 16, 2015, hours before festivities began, the finishing touches on the pandals and idols were being taken care of. I declared Aajkaal Jagadhhatri Samman 2015 to encourage and reward the Puja committees in Chandannagar, Chinsurah, Baidyabati, Bhadreswar and adjacent areas. Being the Chairman of Aajkaal it was such a real pleasure for me.

Aajkaal Jagadhhatri Samman 2015 had 156 puja committees in the list .Judges Pannel included Actor Pallabi Chatterjee, former footballer Gautam Sarkar, singer Saikat Mitra, dancer Soumili Biswas, sports journalist Debashis Datta and anchor Biplab Ganguly.Presence of the eminent Judges added to the gleam of the occasion. Crowds thronged the venues as the team went around the Puja Pandals.

While doing the Judgement, Idol, Pandal decoration, lighting, raw materials used and Puja theme were kept into consideration. Mankundu Notunpara was declared as the winner of Aajkaal Jagadhhatri Samman 2015 , followed by first runner-up Gondolpara Manasatala, and the second runner-up Gondolpara Chaar Mandirtala .Brahmanpara Jagarani Samiti was rewarded with a special award.

To make the entire event successful, the effort and presence of Aajkaal and Techno India Team is appreciable and commendable.
