On 4th January, 2016, on a wintry evening at Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Santoshpur, our team Purulia Panthers defeated their opponent team Bardwan Blasters in one of the friendly matches of Bengal Celebrity League and Purulia Panthers have reached the semi final match of this tournament.

Not only this match , our team also defeated Jalpaiguri Royals by 5 wickets,on 2nd January 2016. Actually after playing these two matches we have prepared the way to reach semifinal.

I want to congratulate my team for playing so nicely yet boldly to grab the win, chasing 129 runs on 4th January.

I am very proud of Jishu Sengupta , our captain, who made hat trick of sixers leading the team for a sure win .

It was a star studded evening as many popular Tollywood and TV serial stars were in cheering mood in the gallery shouting for their favourite team.

Above all, that day we got inspired as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee , our beloved Didi graced the stage on day 5 of Bengal Celebrity League and she said "This is a very good beginning , hope the ending is good too''.

She tossed the coin for the Purulia Panthers vs Burdwan Blasters match and congratulated the "praiseworthy endeavour".
