Yes, we finally got the trophy.

When I heard that Purulia Panthers booked their spot in the final match of this tournament chasing down the 131 runs posted by Jalpaiguri Royals , on 9th January , at that moment my heart started whispering , we will be the winner.

Being the champions in the inaugural tournament of the Bengal Celebrity League is a dream come true feeling. Although we began on a low note in the first match, we emerged victorious.

Actually I missed the happiness of sitting in the gallery and watching the Semifinal and final matches. I had to go to Ranchi to attend 88th session of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan.

In the final match, our team needed just seven over to reach the required target with nine wickets in hand as Burdwan Blasters being bundled out for 61 runs.

I wish I was there to hold the Trophy along with my team members, but I was there in spirit and that happiness of victory cannot be explained.
