Elated and honoured to have celebrated the 6th Foundation Day of Sister Nivedita University in the august presence of a constellation of luminaries. Dr. Martin  Kãmpchen, renowned author, translator, journalist and social worker was handed over the Honorary D.Litt. that had been confered upon him last year at SNU's first convocation ceremony. 
A mesmerising stotra path by Padmabhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty made the inaugural ceremony even more beautiful, with an enriching Foundation Day oration by Prof. Sugata Bose, Gardiner Professor of Oceanic History & Affairs, Harvard University, and former Member of Parliament, India. The addresses by Smt. Pramila Kumari, Education Minister of Nepal, Prof. Bhola Thapa, Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University, and Mr. Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of West Bengal were immensely insightful.
