Biroher Antorale

'BIROHER ANTORALE' is a memoir of the tragic life of the great poet John Keats. His name is immortal as a renowned poet of the Romantic Movement, and he was viciously snubbed by many contemporary critics and by other poets. During his lifetime, Keats struggled against the obstacles of his lower-middle class social standing, limited education, early association with the Cockney School of Poetry, and poor health, as he sought to develop his skills as a poet and advance his poetical theories. Even after his premature death at the age of twenty-five, and well into the nineteenth century, Keats's poetry continued to be disparaged as overly sensitive, sensuous, and simplistic.

The reason that has whet my desire and interest to write this book - In 'A Poetic Pilgrimage' or 'Kabitirtha Bilet', (the Bengali version of A Poetic Pilgrimage) there is a small biography of the great poet John Keats. It has already been applauded a lot by readers. After receiving that appreciation I thought to write a total biography of this great poet who was always deprived by his destiny . Mainly, in this book I tried to highlight the failed love story of Keats and Fanny Brawne.

Keats used to live at Dilke's Wentworth Place. Fanny Brawne and her widowed mother moved into the other half of that house, and Keats and Brawne were able to see each other every day , then he fell in love with this beautiful lady , but he did not get her completely.
The book has attractive colourful photographs of my visit to Keats's residence with my family , picture of John Keats and Fanny Brawne , the photo of the engagement ring of this great poet, and also this book contains letters and poems of this enormous poet.
